TLP by-election candidate Iftikhar Baloch assaulted by unknown goons
Iftikhar Baloch, TLP backed candidate in Sunday's by-election, was viciously assaulted by unknown goons on Wednesday in Jhang. He was attacked by around ten people in the premises of Massan police station in Jhang. Iftikhar Baloch was beaten up viciously after stripping off his clothes. The video of the sad incident is circulating on social media, but TLP Unofficial is not sharing due to violent content and well-being of the victim. Luckily, the injuries are not life-threatening but Iftikhar Baloch is heavily shocked by the incident and we're deeply concerned about his mental health. According to uncorroborated reports, the assailants are believed to be from ex-ruling political party PTI.
Ameer Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan strongly condemned the coward attack, demanding a prompt and fair investigations into the incident and arrests of those involved. In a press release after the incident, Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi believes Iftikhar's affiliation with TLP as the motivation of this attack. "The purpose of such assaults is to achieve wishful results in next elections," says TLP Ameer. He demanded IG Punjab and security agencies to arrests the culprits as soon as possible.
