TLP accepts govt.'s request to give it more time to table demands of Faizabad pact in parliament

Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan put off its plans of resuming protest on February 17 after reaching a new agreement with government. In an agreement signed by federal interior and religious ministers, government agrees to remove all TLP workers' and leaders' names from fourth schedule and table the demands of TLP in parliament before April 20, 2021.

"Contravening any clause of this agreement from any side will nullify this agreement. The agreement will be implemented after an official announcement by prime minister of Pakistan," the agreement reads. This new agreement is signed by Dr. Muhammad Shafique Ameeni, Allama Ghulam Ghous Baghdadi, Allama Ghulam Abbas Faizi and Allama Umair Azhari on behalf of TLP.

Confirming the signing of new pact in a video, Dr. Shafique Ameeni told that government initially asked them to gave in and don't demand implementation of Faizabad 2020 pact. Government resumed the negotiations again after firm stance of TLP and asked for some more time on which central executive committee of Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan conditionally agreed to this. Prime minister of Pakistan would verify the signing of this agreement publicly as per the condition.
