Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi, TLP chief, will be presented before a review board at Lahore High Court (LHC). As per the law, government can't detain a person more than three months unless a judicial board (termed as review board) approves the extension of the detainee (Punjab maintenance of public order ordinance 1960-section 3(5)). Government need to request LHC chief justice to appoint a board to review the case before the expiry of detention period. Punjab Government requested LHC via two confidential letters on June 25 and 26 to review Hafiz Saad's case and extend his detention period.
Review board formed by chief justice LHC consists of justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan, justice Aalia Neelum and justice Sadaqat Ali Khan. The board will review the case around 1:00 PM on Friday and decide about further extension of Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi.
On a side note, PM's aide for interior security Shahzad Akbar visited LHC chief justice in high court building today (Thursday). On question by media persons, he told that he was there to just congratulate chief justice (ahead of his retirement) but social media believes in contrast. Remember that, Shahazad Akbar recently faced a sever allegation about his religious believes by his fellow PTI member, a couple of weeks ago.
