Who is Malik Mumtaz Qadri RA?

Ghazi Malik Mumtaz Qadri Shaheed RA shotted down former governor Punjab on January 4, 2011 (in PPP's tenure) due to his blasphemous remarks on a TV show and his efforts to make a blasphemous inmate to release and flee abroad. No court proceeding could be initiated against governer on his blasphemy due to his exemption rights being governer. Malik Mumtaz Qadri aimed 27 bullets through his rifle on governer who expired on the spot.

Ghazi Malik Mumtaz Qadri Shaheed RA was sentenced to death by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in October 2011 and the decision was (partially) upheld by Islamabad High Court in a decision in December 2015. He was then hanged till death on February 29th, 2016 in the regime of PML-N. Seemingly, the leap day was chosen deliberately by anti-Islam authorities in power to foment the sentiments of the majority population of Pakistan who championed for Malik Mumtaz Qadri RA throughout the court proceedings. Funeral (Namaz e Janaza) of Ghazi Malik Mumtaz Qadri Shaheed RA took place on 1st of March which was attended by more than 6 million participants. Malik Mumtaz Qadri Shaeed RA was buried at Bahara Kahu Islamabad. Since then, his Urs e Pak is being organized at his tomb every year around these dates.
