The reaction will not be different from Faizabad 2017 and Wazirabad 2021 if transgender bill isn't revoked: Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi

Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has warned government that it will not not react differently from Faizabad 2017 and Wazirabad 2021 if government don't revoke transgender bill or amend its anti-Islamic clauses. In his Friday sermon, Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi asserted that it's just a way to promote obscenity and vulgarity covertly.

"When they talked about rights of minorities, they didn't give any except helping blasphemers to flee from the country. When they talked about women rights, no woman got real rights and it only caused more obscenity and vulgarity in the society. And they're trying to do the same now," said Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi.

Remember that government has passed a bill titled 'Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018', which allows any person to express themselves as a different sex than the one assigned at birth. Though government claims that this is only for transgender persons, but the bill defines transgender person as "a Transgender Man, Transqender Woman, Khawajasira or any person whose gender identity and/or qender expression differs from the social norms and cultural expectations based on the sex they were assigned at the time of their birth", which clearly states that it could be any person having different gender identity and expression.
