Many scholars and journalists condemn brutal attack on TLP's procession

MPA Punjab Assembly Molvi Muavia Azam condemned the brutal police attack on TLP Milad un Nabi procession in Havelian. Remember that Muavia is the leader of sect which has a strong hold in Havelian and KPK government is trying to justifying their operation on a fear of clash with that sect. Muavia Azam, in a video message through his official twitter handler, clarified that they respect TLP and government shouldn't hide behind 'fear of sectarian violence'.

Allama Syed Arshad Saeed Kazmi, son of great scholar Syed Ahmad Saeed Kazmi RA and vice-president of Tanzeem ul Madaris AhleSunnat Pakistan, stated that it's unacceptable to oppress the patriotic and religious people. In a video statement, he condemned KPK government action in Havelian against TLP's peaceful procession.

MNA of Jamat e Islami, Akbar Chitrali, also raised his voice in National Assembly on Thursday criticising KPK government for opening straight fire on peaceful TLP procession participants.

A number of notables from various fields of life condemned the brutal attack on TLP's peaceful Milad un Nabi procession in Havelian. In a joint statement from Dar ul Uloom Naeemia Karachi, Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman, Sahibzada Rehan Amjad Naumani, Syed Muzzaffar Shah Qadri, Mufti Abid Mubarak and many other scholars condemned the attack on participants when they were returning back after the procession was concluded on the entrance point of Havelian city. The statement said that it seems like some people in the government, want to push the country towards anarchy. The scholars demanded the arrest of responsible culprit officers. Moreover, renowned scholar Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer also condemned the incident in a tweet.

Many notable journalists also expressed their concerns on firing bullets on a peaceful procession which was allowed by Peshawar High Court and was targeted when participants were already dispersed.
