Protesting against a recent incident of desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden on Eid ul Adha, Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) held rallies across the country on Friday. Hundreds of thousands people participated in Tahffuz e Quran marches in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Charsadda and many other cities in Pakistan.
Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi led the central rally in Lahore which started from the shrine of great sufi saint Hazrat Data Ali Hajvery RA and reached outside the shrine of Ameer ul Mujaheeden via Mall Road Lahore. In his concluding address, TLP Ameer announced a brief congregations on all major roads of the country on Sunday to mark the sanctity of the Holy Quran. He asked everyone to join along with their children and bring a copy of the Holy Quran and a prayer mat. The participants will sit on the roads after Asr prayer until the Maghrib prayer and will recite the Holy Quran.
