A report from sources says that government has planned a massive crackdown against Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan amid it's demand to demolish Islamic symbols from Qadiyanis' worship places. Remember that TLP has submitted applications in 11 districts asking authorities to demolish the Islamic symbols from minority group worship places complying with the constitution of Pakistan. However, local governments seem reluctant to process those application rather law enforcement authorities (LEAs) are preparing for a crackdown against leadership and workers of Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan. It is worth mentioning here that according to a recent Gallop survey (June-July 2023), TLP Ameer Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi stood among the second most liked leader in the Pakistan while TLP stood third as the most loved political party.
Expressing their opinion on the reports of crackdown against TLP, various analysts and journalists looked bewildered about such a decision from the government. "Some crime reporters are reporting this piece of news. But would anyone please tell us about why government is going to do that?" another journalist questioned in his tweet on X. According to the report, intelligence institutes have prepared and circulated the lists of TLP leadership, social media activists and tier wise workers lists. Remember that a few days asgo chief justice of Pakistan has passed remarks in Faizabad sit-in review petition that "If (government) had acted upon Faizabad case decision, a lot of following incidents could have been avoided".
